One small little bronze glazed pot with drainage hole
This Bronze Hand-Thrown Miniature Air Plant Pot is a tiny vessel full of presence—crafted to house the smallest plants and spark the biggest joy. Formed by hand on the wheel in our Jaroso, Colorado studio, each miniature pot is glazed in our studio’s signature bronze finish: a richly layered glaze that catches the light with warm, metallic tones of aged copper, graphite, and soft pewter.
Designed with air plants in mind, this pot is a sculpture in miniature. Every one in the series features a unique wavy rim or organic silhouette, offering subtle variation in form. A small drainage hole is carved into the base of each, allowing breathability and function—ideal for tiny live plants or other imaginative uses.
These tiny pots may sit easily in your palm, but their textural shimmer and bold form make a statement. Keep one by your windowsill, tuck it into a terrarium, or group several together for an artful arrangement. They are as at home on a cluttered artist’s desk as they are on a curated modern shelf.
Each little planter is hand thrown on the pottery’s wheel – so sizes will vary slightly. If you need an exact size please contact us with your request.
These pots are strong, non-porous, and made to last. Despite their delicate appearance, they’re fired to a high temperature that ensures durability and resistance to moisture.

These are truly versatile little pots. Each one carries a quiet energy—soft, metallic, and wholly handmade.
Creating pieces this small requires a steady hand and thoughtful touch. Each pot begins as a centered ball of clay, carefully pulled into a miniature form before being shaped, dried, trimmed, and carved with a drainage hole. After bisque firing, the pots are dipped in our custom bronze glaze and fired again. The result: richly varied textures, flowing metallic glaze, and subtle differences that make every pot its own work of art.
The bronze finish varies from piece to piece—some darker, some with lighter coppery breaks along the rim, depending on kiln position and glaze thickness.
All of our pottery is made at Sarah Welch Pottery, a small family-run studio in the high desert town of Jaroso, Colorado in the San Luis Valley. Every piece is thrown, glazed, and fired by hand using locally sourced materials and sustainable practices. We do not use third party molds, premade bisqueware, or commercial glazes—just raw clay, real hands, and a commitment to beauty and function.

Due to the handmade nature of each piece, variations in glaze tone, shape, and form are expected. These differences are not flaws—they are the fingerprint of handmade work. You’ll receive a pot that is singular and expressive, just like the plant or object it’s meant to hold.
