Description of Process

Each dish is hand cast with our own clay slip in our Jaroso, Colorado studio. While still leather-hard, we press your custom initials and date into the center and surround them with our signature rose stamp texture, hand-applied in a circular pattern. After a slow drying period to prevent cracking, the dish is bisque-fired, then dipped in a satin ivory glaze and glaze-fired at over 2,200°F. If a gold rim is selected it is then hand painted with liquid 22k gold and fired a third time to 1400 degrees.

This process ensures both beauty and durability—the finished dish is chip-resistant, water-tight, and safe for everyday use, while also offering the subtle charm of hand-shaped pottery.
