This Tiny Bronze Miniature Bowl is a celebration of scale, shimmer, and exquisite craftsmanship. Hand-thrown in our studio in Jaroso, Colorado, it stands as one of our smallest functional forms—an elegant bowl barely larger than the tip of your finger. Though it may be miniature, it carries all the depth, texture, and warmth of our full-sized pottery, from the fine wheel-thrown form to the rich, luminous bronze glaze.
Part of our growing family of hand-thrown miniatures, this tiny bowl is perfect for collectors, lovers of small things, or anyone looking for a symbolic gift of elegance and simplicity. Whether used as a tiny salt dish, a bead holder, a miniature altar offering bowl, or simply displayed for its beauty, this piece invites close attention and quiet appreciation.
Though small, this bronze bowl makes a big impression as a gift. Ideal for:

Each bowl, though tiny, brings warmth, story, and artistry to any setting.
Making pottery at this scale is a true test of balance and control. Each of these miniature bowls is carefully hand-thrown on a traditional pottery wheel, using the same techniques used for full-sized pieces. The form must be centered, pulled, and trimmed with precision—all on a scale no larger than a coin.
Once shaped, the bowls are bisque-fired, then dipped in our signature bronze glaze, which was developed in-house and has become a customer favorite. The glaze reveals a natural range of metallic hues, from aged bronze to smoky pewter, creating a surface that appears almost ancient and artifact-like in its richness. The final glaze firing locks in this finish, making the bowl both durable and visually complex.
This miniature bronze bowl is made at Sarah Welch Pottery, our small, family-run studio in the quiet town of Jaroso, nestled in the San Luis Valley. What started as a one-woman workshop over 25 years ago has blossomed into a beloved handmade brand offering barware, garden pottery, miniatures, and meaningful handmade gifts.
Sarah Welch, trained in ceramics and dedicated to the thoughtful process of wheel-thrown pottery, creates each piece with attention and love. Every miniature is an invitation to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the depth that even the smallest objects can hold. You can explore more from our collections at our Etsy shop.
Each miniature bowl is handmade and will feature natural variations in glaze pattern, form, and scale. These differences are not flaws, but the mark of authenticity and individuality in small-batch, hand-thrown pottery. You’re not just buying a product—you’re welcoming a singular piece of art into your life.
