These tiny pots are little gems. Each miniature is individually thrown and glazed. People have many different uses for miniature pottery – candle holder, curio shelf art, air plant pot, spices, scented oils, incense holder, appetizer plate, ring dish, and much more. These little plates can also be a very nice “small” thank you gift.

Simple, earthy, and endlessly versatile, this miniature hand-thrown spiral plate brings warmth and artisan detail to even the smallest spaces. Measuring just 2½ inches across, this tiny dish is ideal as a ring dish, tea bag holder, salt pinch bowl, incense plate, or simply a decorative piece that lives on a shelf, nightstand, or windowsill.
Each plate is hand-thrown on the pottery wheel in our Colorado studio using locally clay and our custom created glazes. Finished in a honey brown or rich green glaze with a subtle swirl detail in the center, this piece reflects our love of earthy tones and timeless form. The swirling center is not just decorative—it’s a nod to the handmade process, revealing the path of the potter’s hand and the spin of the wheel.

A Small Plate With Big Purpose

Each piece is shaped by hand, meaning no two are exactly alike. Slight variations in diameter, thickness, and swirl pattern are part of the charm. The glaze ranges from golden ocher to deeper honey brown, with subtle movement in tone and occasional touches of iron spotting, depending on the kiln atmosphere.
The spiral design in the center of each dish is created with the edge of the finger during the throwing process with the motion of the wheel itself. Once bisque-fired, each plate is dipped in our warm-toned glaze and high-fired to over 2200°F to ensure durability and food safety.
